When Park Stories filmed Matt Boling at nineteen, he had already announced himself as one of the most exciting track prospects in the world. Before college, he ran a wind-aided 9.98 seconds in the 100 meters, then the fastest performance ever recorded by a high-school athlete. He also won multiple Texas state championships and four gold medals at the U20 Pan American Championships.
